Originally from Northern California, OG Kush is a predominantly indica strain and one of the most popular varieties in the United States.
Its true genetic origins remain unknown. Some believe that OG Kush is a cross between ChemDawg, Thai Lemon, and Pakistani Kush, while others claim it is simply a unique ChemDawg clone dating back to the early 1990s.
There has also been considerable debate over the meaning of "OG," with some suggesting that it stands for "Original Gangster." However, based on the strain's origins, it is now widely believed to mean "Ocean Grown."
Outdoors, OG Kush finishes flowering by mid-September and can develop into a very large plant. It has a rich, nutty, sweet flavor and delivers a heavy, deeply relaxing, couch-locking effect.or lingers pleasantly on the palate.
